Portrait Photography

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 21, 2009, 1:16 PM

I will be taking a break from Infrared for a few portrait sessions in the next week. I love the range of styles in the portrait area of DA. My preference is outdoor - natural light - portraits but it looks like the Seattle storms will keep me in the studio. It will be good to have a little more time to experiment with the studio strobes.

My commercial work has been increasing lately. I have been working on business portraits, hotel marketing images, and food photography. It is great to see a few clients ready to schedule again.

A few of my favorite creative portraits on DA >>>>>

  • Mood: Relief
  • Listening to: Atmosphere
  • Reading: skin
  • Watching: SOA
  • Drinking: Octoberfest

hey, nice set from Lincoln Park. I'm gonna have to head out there myself! I've never been there, but from your photos, it looks gorgeous. I've been wanting to find a place with a lot more leaves on the ground. How did you get those purple ones? Playing with the tint?
:icon32tsunami:
Thank you :D You have a excellent set from the arboretum - The bench area in my Lincoln park images would be a perfect portrait area. That tree was one of the few trees with bright color. The purple images have a few layers and a hue shift on my top layer - gives me a little cyan addition

I was thinking the same thing about your bench. I was imagining a young couple with a yellow lab playing in the leaves.
